Spring is showing its glory early this year with blooming lilacs, flowering fruit trees and color popping out all over. We are seeing such beauty in the Promise Gardens and as we prepare for the garden show we look forward to a larger and more beautiful show for 2017. We anticipate a majestic display when flowers and peonies showoff their colors and beauty in late April and early May. It is one of our favorite times of the year for capturing nature which it turn makes beautiful art for our “Art on Canvas” Collection. Get those cameras ready for a spectacular display of this Spring’s blooming season.

SPRING. Frost-locked all the winter, Seeds, and roots, and stones of fruits, What shall make their sap ascend That they may put forth shoots? Tips of tender green, Leaf, or blade, or sheath; Telling of the hidden life That breaks forth underneath, Life nursed in its grave by Death.
Blows the thaw-wind pleasantly, Drips the soaking rain, By fits looks down the waking sun: Young grass springs on the plain;
Young leaves clothe early hedgerow trees;
Seeds, and roots, and stones of fruits,
Swollen with sap, put forth their shoots;
Curled-headed ferns sprout in the lane;
Birds sing and pair again.
I love infrared photography whether in shades of black-white or colors. One of our favorite photographers who shoots infrared is Clay Blackmore who creates amazing bridal infrared images. I love creating images of nature in infrared and then process with various techniques to create art for my “Art on Canvas Collection” for Classy Chic Home Design Studio. This is one of my latest creations for living room I designed in stunning pastels. It will be a very large canvas for the focal point for the room to draw one into the beauty of nature in spring.
“THIS peach is pink with such a pink
As suits the peach divinely;
The cunning color rarely spread
Fades to the yellow finely;
But where to spy the truest pink
Is in my Love’s soft cheek, I think.”
Oh how beautiful are the blossoms this year. Whether the amazing Cherry Blossoms in Washington, DC, at the National Arboretum, a favorite park or your own home, they are a delight.
One of the most beautiful and satisfying gifts of photography is the ability to travel and shoot beautiful places and landscapes. Whether on corporate, wedding, concert or other photography adventures, we can always grab a few lovely shots of nature and its beauty to add to our collection of lovelies. They are surely blossoms of promise!
